The Console Version of Goat Simulator is a version which can only be accessed normally on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Differences

General

• The HUD is now closer to the center of the screen for televisions or monitors with overscan.
• The game now pauses when opening the pause menu.
• The control scheme cannot be changed.

GoatVille

• The Boulder of Death has been renamed to Boulder.
• On the Xbox One version, the lighting here is different and time is sunrise.
• There is some goat graffiti on the side of the gas station.
• The Michael Bay quest and bonus were renamed to Bayhem.

Goat City Bay

• The Boulder of Death has been renamed to Boulder, like in GoatVille.
• On the Xbox One version, the lighting here is different, where this time the lighting is green-ish.
• In the sewers, the Michael Bay Turdles are replaced by humans wearing green tracksuits with colored bandanas and belts, but still has the same voicelines and behavior. This version is renamed to Turtle.
• The left side of the exterior of Gallery Doe has some graffiti.
• Mushrooms are replaced by flowers.

Mutators

• Their descriptions replace SPECIAL (aka name of the currently bound Special Use key, like R) with Press the 'Special Use' button.
• Uncle Goat, Builder Goat, I Am Bread, I Am Toaster, and I Am Baguette are unobtainable in this version.
• The Mermaid Goat was renamed to Fiskeplaske.
• The Inventory mutator cannot be equipped outside of Goat MMO Simulator.
• The Goat Zero mutator cannot be equipped outside of GoatZ.

Achievements

• The Xbox One version has the achievement icons in 16:9 images instead of square images.

Goat Simulator

• Cardio kills your gains, Columbian Sugar Lord, Don't Panic, FINALLY, Flip-Kick, GoatBuilt, Goatta catch 'em all!, Here's Johnny!, I can't believe that worked, Maximum MLG Big Plays, Neckbeard, Powerhoof SMASH, Stand by for Goatfall, SteamWorld Goat, The mage's favourite, and The Savage are unobtainable in this version.
• Involuntary QA cannot be obtained since there is no way to crash the console versions.
• Ling Ling into battle go's icon no longer has a mouth.
• The Flapmaster's icon removes the line on the beak and the pupil is horizontal.

Other

• In Flappy Goat, the lose message says "Game Over!" instead of "You lost, again...".
• Like in the Old-Gen Console Version, Explicit Content is off by default and cannot be turned on in order to receive a T rating from the ESRB.

Exclusive Features

Features exclusive to the Console Version.

Main Menu

• The main menu no longer shows Goatville or Goat City Bay by default. Instead, it will show an exclusive map featuring every map connected to each other, along with its trophy progress.
  • Pressing / will zoom the camera into the selected map.

Mutators

• Mutators can now be accessed by pressing /, as the Mutators option in the pause menu reminds players about the change.
  • Locked mutators can be previewed before obtaining it.
  • As a result, pressing / will only cycle through different zoom options with the first person view inaccessible.

Other

• The Xbox One and PS4 versions feature local co-op, while the Nintendo Switch version omits it due to hardware limitations.
• The Xbox One version had Mixer integration, allowing people to spawn objects through Mixer chat. As of June 22, 2020, Mixer was shut down and this feature no longer works.

Trivia

• On Xbox One, the model for the goats are in a higher quality.
